Connecting OBIEE to Samsung Galaxy Tablet

You would see issues with your OBIEE graph when you try to connect OBIEE to Samsung galaxy tablet. There are few ways around to connect it.

Chrome browser or the default android browser do not support Flash and so would cause issue displaying OBIEE graph.

Step 1: Security Settings

Follow below instructions to install Flash in android tablet:

Ø  In Android, connect to internet

Ø  Open “Settings” menu

Ø  Select “Security”

Ø  Check “Unknown Sources” and tap ‘OK’ to confirm

Ø  Close settings

Step 2: Install Mozilla Firefox

         Search on Play store and install Firefox in your tablet

Step 3: Installing Flash Player

Ø  Launch the Firefox browser

Ø  Navigate to adobe archive set to download flash player:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

Ø  Search for keyword: “Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives”

Ø  Download by clicking the link: “Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81)”

After installing, launch firefox and navigate to OBIEE, the charts should be displayed. You also have an option of downloading different browser like PUFFIN FREE which can display the reports without any additional configurations but please make sure you check the licensing requirements and security features of the browser before you use it.
